Wireless carrier T-Mobile UK has just made available for purchase on its network a new BlackBerry smartphone, none other than the Bold 9790 device that was made official last year with the BlackBerry 7 OS on board.

The mobile phone is now up for sale at T-Mobile UK for free on the carrier’s £36.00 a month (24 months) plan.

BlackBerry Bold 9790 was launched with the popular Bold design in tow, enhanced by a 2.45-inch touchscreen keyboard to complement the physical keyboard that RIM has packed in all of its Bold smartphones.

The handset comes with a fast application processor inside, along with a high-quality photo snapper on the back, 8GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for adding more storage space into the mix.

“The BlackBerry Bold 9790 is a high-performance hybrid smartphone combining the accuracy of a QWERTY keypad with the speed and responsiveness of a touchscreen, as well as a precise optical trackpad,” T-Mobile notes.

“Elegant lines and a quality finish conceal a powerful processor that delivers a truly outstanding experience.”

The smartphone also packs 768 MB of RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps, microUSB v2.0, A-GPS support, and the like.

Not to mention that it offers support for a wide range of applications and services designed for the BlackBerry devices.

“Experience the online world like never before with a powerful 1GHz processor, razor-sharp graphics and a smooth, fast browser,” T-Mobile UK notes on its website.

“The BlackBerry Bold 9790 lets you find WiFi hotspots wherever they're available and explore the world with built-in compass, GPS and Augmented Reality. It comes with 8GB of onboard memory and a memory card slot expandable to 32GB.”’

The phone’s Li-Ion 1230 mAh battery can deliver up to 5 hours of talk time, or up to 432 hours of standby time.
