Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion has just released a new version of its BlackBerry App World. For the time being the solution is available only in a beta version, and only for those in the BlackBerry Beta Zone, which means that it is meant mainly for testing purposes. However, now that BlackBerry App World 2.0 has been released in beta, it might not be too long before it arrives in a final flavor too, and for all BlackBerry users out there.

BlackBerry App World 2.0 is now available in BlackBerry Beta Zone as an invite-based beta – make sure to sign up for a Beta Zone account so you can receive a beta invite! If you’re interested in learning more about what’s new in BlackBerry App World 2.0 – including new Top 25’s, barcode scanning, new billing options and more,” Alex K. announced in a new post on the Inside BlackBerry blog.

Currently, the BlackBerry App World can be accessed in a number of 65 countries all around the world, and it is available in 6 languages. According to the aforementioned blog post, a number of more than one million applications are being downloaded each and every day by BlackBerry smartphone users, and that number should increase even more.
No details on when BlackBerry App World 2.0 would arrive in a final flavor have been unveiled, but it should not be too long bnefore all the necessary info emerges.
