Before the end of this year, Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry should bring to the market a new handset running under the BlackBerry 10 operating system, one that is expected to become the company’s new flagship and which has just been fully detailed.

The handset, said to feature the name of BlackBerry A10, has been spotted online a few times before with the codename of Aristo, but this is the first time that its full specs are unveiled.

The info on it comes from a leaked internal presentation that emerged on the CrackBerry Forums, and which also shows the device in all of its glory.

Just as previously rumored, the upcoming device will land on shelves with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 1280 x 720-pixel resolution, as MobileSyrup notes in a recent article.

The handset will be powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Pro processor, paired with a quad-core GPU and 2GB of RAM.

Furthermore, BlackBerry A10 is expected to hit shelves with 16GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot to allow for more storage space to be added.

On the back, the upcoming mobile phone will sport an 8-megapixel photo snapper, complemented by a 2MP front camera for video calling.

The specifications list of the upcoming BlackBerry 10 flagship smartphone also includes LTE/CDMA/HSPA+, LTE/HSPA+ connectivity, Micro USB, Micro HDMI out, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (4G Mobile Hotspot), NFC, DLNA, and Micro SIM slot.

The handset will also sport the whole range of sensors, including Ambient Light, Proximity, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Magnetometer, and Altimeter.

Measuring 140.7 x 72 x 9.4mm and powered by a 2800 mAh integrated battery, the BlackBerry A10 is said to arrive on shelves with the BlackBerry 10.2 OS loaded on top right from the beginning.

For the time being, however, no official confirmation on the hardware specs of the upcoming device has been provided, so we’ll take the info above with a grain of salt.
