Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry has been rumored recently to plan the launch of a new smartphone running under the older BlackBerry 7 OS, and photos of the handset appear to have already emerged online.

Available courtesy of thaibbclub, said photos provide us with a close look at the device, which appears set to land on shelves with an outer design that borrows elements both from the BlackBerry 10 series smartphones and from the older BlackBerry Bold 9790, as CrackBerry notes.

The mobile phone features a QWERTY keyboard on the front, with a dedicated BBM key included, the same as some Curve models, but resembling the looks of BlackBerry Q5’s keypad.

No specific info on the availability and pricing of the new device has been provided as of now, but rumor has it that it might land on shelves in a small number of markets.
