Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion is reportedly working on yet another sequel for one of its already popular devices on the market. The device is question is said to be the BlackBerry 8910, which has just received Bluetooth Certification, and which has emerged into a leaked photo, on its way to come to the market as the successor of the BlackBerry Curve 8900.

For what it's worth, this wouldn't be the first time we learn that Research In Motion is working on delivering updated handsets to the market, and Bold 9700 or Storm 2 are great examples in this direction. On the other hand, the Curve 8900 is a rather old model, and learning that RIM is set to deliver a new variant to the market might make a wide range of enthusiasts rejoice.

Unfortunately, the submission to the Bluetooth SIG does not unveil too many details on the handset itself but, if RIM is set to continue on the road it stepped with the previously released sequels, we should expect for the new 8910 to sport 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity on board. At the same time, an updated operating system should also be there, something that will probably add more functionality into the equation.

According to the guys over at berryreview, who came up with a live image of the handset, the OS 5.0.4+ is almost confirmed on this handset. At the same time, the photo unveils the fact that the trackball has been replaced with a trackpad, and that the keys look much like those on Curve 8900, even if the handset has a Bold 9700 overall look. Other details are missing at the moment, yet it shouldn't be too long before the handset arrives on the market, so stay tuned to learn more info on it as soon as they become available.
