RIM and Vodafone announced the latest in the 8000 series - BlackBerry 8707v.

The 8707v operates quad-band,
GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, promising to be a good market product for Europe, Asia and North America. The BlackBerry device features full QWERTY keyboard, Intel PXA901 processor at 312MHz and 64 MB RAM. In addition, the device includes Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Looking like a high end phone, the 8707v has a big and bright 320 x 240 color LCD screen and it seems that it will feature connectivity on the go and will also be the first Blackberry with built-in 3G modem. The device weighs 140 grams and measures 110 x 69.5 x 19.5 mm.

The 8707v model is produced by RIM especially for Vodafone and it is most likely that RIM will produce other new models for other carriers and networks. The device will be launched in UK, but there is still no word about its price or availability.
