Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion has recently announced officially the introduction of a new BlackBerry device, the Curve 8520, aka Gemini, which will come to the market on the airwaves of T-Mobile and Vodafone. Somehow expected, a new version of the handset will also see the light of day, namely the 8530, which is reportedly heading towards Verizon's lineup.

The BlackBerry Gemini, as many of you might already know, comes to the market as a low-end handset, and the 8530 should also turn into a low-end CDMA QWERTY mobile phone. Even so, the specs of the device are not to be neglected, as users will have the opportunity to enjoy a QVGA display, EV-DO, a 2-megapixel photo snapper, as well as the BlackBerry OS 5.0.

Compared with the recently released BlackBerry Tour, the new device might not look that impressive, yet it has some goodies of its own, along the Wi-Fi connectivity, something that hasn't been included with the 9630. However, for the time being, WAN is only a rumor, but chances are that it will prove true, and that Verizon will keep its promise.

Until more on this will be unveiled, we should bring to your attention another BlackBerry device, the Onyx, which has been just spotted in the wild as the BlackBerry 9700. In addition to the 9700 model number, the news also brought up a few specifications on the device, which should indeed turn into a rather attractive one, though this is something that has been already expected.

The specs list of the phone shows a Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, as well as UMTS/HSDPA, Wi-Fi (a,b,g), and Bluetooth capabilities, not to mention the display that can boast a 480 x 360-pixel resolution, the QWERTY keyboard, 3.2-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, or the BlackBerry OS 5.0 it should run under. Stay tuned to learn more details on it.
