BlackBerry 8120 appeared on FCC's website, all packed with goodies like WiFi and GPS, which should make it one great smartphone offer. It looks like the phone will hit the US market in the near future, with high chances of this happening before the end of this year.

BlackBerry 8120 is one slim and compact smartphone, which makes it suitable even for those that are less fond of large mobile devices. What's surprising about this handset is the fact that is comes in the slim sizes of any regular mobile phone, at 107 x 55 x 14 mm and 91 grams. The device also includes GPS, which usually adds some extra size on any mobile phone, but this one doesn't seem to be the least affected by the extra feature.

The phone comes equipped with the sure-type keypad, as a space saving alternative to the old-fashioned QWERTY one. This should make introducing large amounts of text extremely easy, especially for the smaller thumbs that will have no problem with handling the tiny buttons.

The 240 x 260 pixels resolution proves to be just the right one for great display quality, making BlackBerry 8120 perfect for watching videos and handling office documents. Unfortunately, the phone is not a 3G enabled one, but it does manage to bring GPRS and EDGE instead. Most importantly, the handset also includes WiFi connectivity, along with Bluetooth and USB. Other specifications also include 2 megapixel camera, which brings nothing accountable, as well as email and instant messaging support.

BlackBerry 8120 has been only recently announced by its producer, but seems to make its way quickly out on the market. There is no official word on the exact date when it is out, although the US will surely get its BlackBerry share in the near future.
