Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry is getting ready for the release of the BlackBerry 10 operating system to its PlayBook devices, and should make the move in the near future, new reports on the matter suggest.

In fact, it seems that the info comes from BlackBerry themselves, as they have confirmed in a recent Twitter post that the update is only a few weeks away, goodereader reports.

No specific release date has been provided as of now, but it might not be long at all before the info is unveiled, that’s for sure.

The BlackBerry 10 operating system was launched officially in January this year, along with the first device to run under it, namely BlackBerry Z10.

It is also loaded on BlackBerry Q10 smartphones, and will power future devices from the Canadian mobile phone maker as well.
