So far, Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry unveiled to the world two smartphones powered by the new BlackBerry 10 operating system, yet it seems that numerous other devices will arrive on shelves in the not too distant future with the brand new platform loaded on top.

In fact, the company itself confirmed several months ago that it was planning the launch of no less than six handsets in its new lineup, although only two of them have actually been made official, namely the BlackBerry Z10 and the BlackBerry Q10.

These smartphones were said before to have been included in the vendor’s L-Series and N-Series, respectively, and they are expected to be followed this year by at least three new families of devices, namely K-Series, P-Series and S-Series.

According to a recent article on N4BB, the info comes from a BlackBerry 10 codename file dump, which also offered specific info on the names of yet unreleased handsets from the Canadian mobile phone maker.

The list also confirms other device categories that BlackBerry might plan on bringing to the market at a not too distant point in the future, such as the A-Series, R-Series, and M-Series (this family of handsets was spotted online before, when BlackBerry Milan leaked).

The full list of device codenames coming from BlackBerry is said to include: Agosto, Americano, Anisio, Aramis, Aristo, Astro, Athos, Cappuccino, Kopi, Laguna, Latte, Lisbon, Liverpool, London, Naples, Nashville, Nevada, Newark, Newport, Patagonia, Rainier, Samoa, and Sherwood.

The A-Series will be the BlackBerry 10 flagship, featuring 1.5GHz Qualcomm APQ8064 Krait quad-core processors, 2GB RAM, and an OCTA Glass OLED 4.65-inch screen, said news site reports.

The R-Series handsets will land on shelves with QWERTY keyboards, and might feature affordable price tags attached to them.

As for the M-Series smartphones, they might turn out to be sliding devices, with a 720×1280 screen resolution and with a release date set for late 2013 or early 2014. It should be noted though that the aforementioned Milan might have been canceled.

As can be seen in the list, BlackBerry appears set to launch a nice range of A-Series, L-Series, and N-Series devices, though it remains to be seen what exactly it has in store for users with the other handsets rumored to make it out of its labs sooner or later.
