Following info on the possible release of a full HD (1080p) BlackBerry smartphone in the not too distant future, details on some more unannounced handsets from the Canadian company have emerged online, offering a better glimpse at what might be coming to the market soon.

We already knew that BlackBerry had been working on brand new smartphones for unveiling this year, but specific details on them haven’t been offered until now, when a leaked BlackBerry 10.3 build that emerged earlier this week shed some light on the matter.

Apparently, the previously rumored BlackBerry Windermere and BlackBerry Ontario are only two of the smartphones that might arrive with OS 10.3 loaded on top this year, as the company is also working on Classic and N-series devices, as well as on new developer models, it seems.

A recent article on BerryReview claims that BlackBerry might be planning the unveiling of a 5-inch full HD development/reference model soon and that it will also pack it with appealing, high-end hardware specifications inside.

The mobile phone should feature a quad-core MSM8974 processor inside, clocked in at 1.9-2.26 GHz. The Krait 400 chip will also have Adreno 330 graphics, it seems.

Moreover, it should offer support for 13-megapixel cameras, HDMI, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi Direct / Miracast, and the usual set of sensors.

Three versions of the phone are being planned, it appears, including the codenamed Euphrates and Tigris (two variants of the same device, it seems), and Mjölnir.

A fourth variant is also planned, namely Musket, though it should sport an Exynos5 5410 CPU inside (1.6GHz quad-core Cortex-A15 + 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7, with IT PowerVR SGX544MP3 GPU).

BlackBerry Ontario, which is supposedly based on Tigris, should be released worldwide with a 2.36 GHz quad-core MSM8974AB processor inside and a 5-inch 1080p screen (models R122, R123, R124, R125, R138, and Rxxxx for China).

BlackBerry Windermere (SQW100) might be launched as Q30, also based on Tigris (apparently, there are four different revisions of this reference design), and with the same processor as Ontario.

The phone is expected to include a 4.5-inch 1440 x 1440 pixels screen, QWERTY keyboard, 3GB of RAM, and four microphones. It will also arrive in a multitude of models, such as R132, R133, R134, R135, and another version for China.

BlackBerry might launch as part of its Classic series (SQC100) a Q20 device, it seems, with a 3.5-inch 720 x 720 pixels screen, QWERTY keyboard, and a MSM8960 processor inside. The handset is also said to feature an 8-megapixel camera on the back.

Three versions of this mobile phone appear to be in the works, including R142, R143, and R144, destined for North America, Verizon Wireless, and the rest of the world, respectively.

As for the aforementioned N-series devices, only one of them has been leaked now, namely Khan, with model number SQK100 and the market name of BlackBerry P’9983 (Porsche Design).

BlackBerry has yet to confirm any plans on the launch of these smartphones as well as pricing and availability. There’s no telling on when that might happen, though the company has already been rumored to plan the unveiling of new models later this year.
