14 DAY TRIAL // Square Enix and Indiegogo have fully launched their indie crowdvoting platform dubbed the Collective, and a handful of games have already been featured on it, waiting for the community to cast its vote.
The Collective is not a crowdfunding platform, but more of a pre-crowdfunding platform that allows gamers to deliver feedback and offer either a positive or a negative vote on an game pitch.
Following the month-long campaign, should a game idea/concept attract enough attention from the general public, both Square Enix and Indiegogo will assist the developers in creating a proper, professionally-run crowdfunding campaign that will maximize the odds of the game raising enough funds to get made.
Now, in addition to the three initial games that were featured during the platform's pilot edition, World War Machine, Moon Hunters, and Game of Glens, seven other indie titles have been added, in the form of 10 Years After, Pub Master Quest, Sirona Sol, REalM, Escape Velocity, Leap of Fate, and Black the Fall.
The latest titles added are also the most interesting-looking. Clever-Plays' Leap of Fate is a modern iteration of a timeless dystopian fantasy with multiple endings, set in present-day New York and featuring fast-paced action, where players take on the role of a powerful mage facing a twisted version of reality.
