Black is a video game developed by Criterion Studios, best known for their Bournout series of racing games, for the publisher Electronic Arts. The game was developed for the

Microsoft Xbox gaming platform and for the PlayStation 2 from Sony. Black is a shooter crossed with an action game and it is played from a first person perspective.

The game puts you in the shoes of Sgt. J. Keller, who is a Black Operations agent who has just failed his mission. Because of his failure, he has been incarcerated and is currently interrogated to reveal what his mission was, in order to find out what went wrong. The player needs to go through the operation that got Keller imprisoned to see what led to the failure. There are 8 areas that you need to explore in the game, with primary and secondary objectives, and focusing on gathering intelligence and eliminating all opposition.

There are a variety of weapons you can use to deal with enemies and the entire background is fully destructible. Cover is available, and you can use it to shield yourself from enemy bullets. Be that as it may, remember that cover is not impenetrable and some weapons can even shoot through the walls.

There are four difficulty levels for the game. Easy mode only requires the gamer to complete the primary objective to advance, while some of the secondary ones are required in normal and hard modes. In Black Ops mode, which is only available after completing the game first on the hard one, the player needs to complete all the objectives to advance.

UNLOCKABLES

Black Ops difficulty setting

Successfully complete the game on the Hard difficulty setting.

M16A2

Successfully complete the game under the Black Ops difficulty setting to unlock the M16A2 for use on any difficulty setting.

Successfully complete the game under the Easy difficulty setting, then under the Normal difficulty setting, then finally under the Hard difficulty setting. Then, select Black Ops mode and you will spawn with an M16A2 in any game mode.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

Faster M16A2 reload

With the M16A2 in Black Ops mode, the lag-time on the reload for the grenade launcher is long. Immediately after you shoot a round, switch weapons then switch back quickly and it will be reloaded for you.
