In a sort of “good news, bad news” manner, buzz online has it that the latest album by legendary rock band Black Sabbath might very well be their last. Despite being their first ever album to reach number one on the Billboard, “13” could be the last title Ozzy Osbourne & co. ever put out.

Speaking with Classic Rock Magazine, Geezer Butler is unsure whether they could pull it off again “To me, it's been nicely rounded off now. If we did another album, it just wouldn't have the same vibe as far as I'm concerned. And with this one doing so well, the next one would have to be number one everywhere too or people would see it as a failure.”

Roughly the same thoughts ran through Ozzy Osborne's mind, “We'll see what happens. We made promises about another album 15 or 20 years ago and it took this long for it to come out. I don't think you'll see another in 20 years, put it that way.”

Band member Tommy Iommi doesn't mind if this is truly the end, being grateful for the journey so far: “Making ‘13’ was such a great, memorable experience, so if that's the final chapter, we'd have to be happy.”

When prompted about a next possible album, he agreed with the others that it's just not in the works: “We've not spoken about it. I don't know if it would be the right thing to do. God knows what the expectations would be the next time around … I'd probably have a heart attack worrying about it!”

So one thing is for sure: none of the Black Sabbath members wants to do an album anytime soon, nor do they think that, if another one should come out, it would be better than the present. It really looks like the rockers have put their best efforts behind “13” and making it their most valuable creation to date.

Though the future of new Black Sabbath material is pretty much sealed, the band isn't giving up on concerts. Having just finished a tour, there are now rumors that the rock legends will be making a return to the UK at festivals sometime during the course of 2014.
