Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation appears set to bring to the market a new flavor of the HTC One max smartphone, one that comes dressed up in Black, and that has just made an official appearance in Hong Kong.

The new smartphone variant was spotted online on HTC’s local website, though no specific info on its availability has been unveiled as of now.

Recently, the large handset was seen in a Red coating as well, which suggests that HTC might be set to make it available in multiple color options in the not too distant future.

As UnwiredView notes, this does not come as a surprise, considering the fact that HTC One, this year’s flagship phone from the company, is already available in no less than five different flavors, including Silver, Black, Red, Blue, and Gold.

Moreover, the HTC One mini is available for purchase in three different color options too, including Black, Silver, and Blue.

For those out of the loop, we should note that HTC One max arrives on shelves with a 5.9-inch Super LCD3 screen that can deliver a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, and that it is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor.

At the same time, the handset packs 2GB of RAM inside, along with 16GB / 32GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for storage expansion purposes.

HTC One max features a 4MP UltraPixel camera on the back, with support for full HD video recording, while also packing a front camera for making video calls.

The specifications list of this smartphone also includes HSPA+ and LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and built-in GPS receiver, as well as the usual set of sensors. It is powered by a Li-Po 3300 mAh battery that cannot be removed.

Provided that the Black version of HTC One max is set to make an official appearance in other markets as well besides Hong Kong, we should see the handset vendor making a formal announcement on the matter soon, so stay tuned to learn the news.
