From the creator of the RemasterOS Linux and K-Mint Linux distributions, we're introducing you today to the Black GNOME Linux distro, based on the latest Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS (Trusty Tahr) operating system.

Black GNOME Linux 3.16 has been released a few days ago, and it brings you an up-to-date Ubuntu derivative built around the GNOME 3 desktop environment and beautified with a black theme and gorgeous icons.

The primary goal of the Black GNOME Linux 3.16 distribution is to offer you a long-term supported operating system with a clean and elegant interface based on the GNOME 3.12.2 desktop environment and powered by Ubuntu's Linux 3.16.0 kernel.

The distro is geared towards disk drive management and system rescue operations. It offers a very stable, secure and reliable environment with static dock (application launcher) and workspaces enhanced with taskbars.

Black GNOME Linux 3.16 comes pre-installed with several useful open-source applications, among which we can mention the BleachBit system cleaning utility, Bluefish HTML editor, GIMP image editor and viewer, GDebi package manager, and Shotwell image viewer and organizer.
