Back in February, Howard Stern announced that he would personally see to that those mistresses of Tiger Woods interested in a little competition would get a fair chance at a diamond ring. While it might not be the ring they were expecting, at least the winner of the Best Mistress pageant, to take place today, March 10, will leave home with a unique designer piece, as The Luxist can confirm.

Stern started planning the competition back when women were still stepping forward to speak to the media about their alleged encounters and romance with the disgraced golfer. The purpose was to have them go against each other for the ultimate title of “Best Mistress” and, of course, a hefty prize in cash. Aside from the $100,000 prize, aspiring mistresses will also compete for a black diamond ring made especially for Stern’s beauty pageant.

“Howard Stern’s beauty pageant for Tiger Woods’ alleged mistresses takes place Wednesday and the winner gets not only a prize of $100,000 from the AshleyMadison.com website but also a ‘mistress’ ring. Jeweler Steven Singer, infamous for his ‘I Hate Steven Singer’ ad campaigns, created a 3.5-carat total weight black diamond ring for the winner of pageant which will be held live on air during Stern’s Sirius XM radio show,” The Luxist writes.

A photo of the ring in question shows that, indeed, the ring is something worth competing over, especially since, by the looks of things, the pageant will be no different from a regular Miss contest. “A few of the women involved in the Tiger Woods scandal will participate in several categories like ‘bikini’ and ‘talent’ to win the prize. The jeweler says the piece is the ‘perfect mistress ring’,” The Luxist adds.

Back when Stern first made the announcement, word also got out that Mistress number 1 Rachel Uchitel would not be involved in it, having signed a confidentiality agreement with Tiger Woods back in the day when they were still secretly dating.
