The Icelandic singer Bjork proves once again that she's quite a unique personality among all the celebrities. After shocking the 2001 Academy Awards audience by showing up dressed up as a swan, she has just been voted by a British magazine 'the world's most eccentric celebrity'.
The 40-year-old singer beat out former world boxing champion Chris Eubank and goalkeeper-turned-commentator David Icke, who came second and third respectively.
Bernie Herlihy, editor of the magazine which held the poll (BBC's "Homes and Antiques" magazine), was not surprised at all that the readers chose Bjork as the most bizarre celebrity, as she'd been long time ago crowned as an eccentric person due to "her quirky dress sense and very individual type of music."
"She's known by the public for pretty crazy things like having an altercation with a journalist," she added.
Herlithy said that it might have been David Icke the one to come first in the top, as he once proclaimed himself the "son of God" during a television interview in 1991, but Bjork was even more eccentric and for much longer time.
The almost 6,000 votes in the poll ranked former "Doctor Who" actor Tom Baker on the fourth position, while the reality television star and former rocker Ozzy Osbourne came fifth. The top 10 also includes John McCririck and Patrick Moore.
