Icelandic singer and artist Bjork has recently canceled her Kickstarter fundraising campaign for a Windows 8 app after interest proved to be fairly low for such a project. Bjork wanted to raise no more, no less than £375,000 (€433,000 / $586,500) to port the Biophilia app to Android and Windows 8, but the project had barely attracted donations worth £15,300 (€17,950 / $24,000) with less than 20 days to go.
The singer is yet to update the
Kickstarter page with an official statement on her decision to cancel the fundraiser, but the project now displays a notification reading, “Funding canceled. Funding for this project was canceled by the project creator 20 hours ago.”

“Biophilia is a multimedia project which includes an album, a series of apps housed in one mother app, a live show and an educational program for children from all backgrounds. It’s all about exploring the areas where music, nature and technology meet, showing people how sound can work in nature while at the same time exploring the infinite expanse of the universe, from planetary systems to atomic structure.”
