Premium users can get up to 60GB for $89.95 per year

Bitdefender has just announced the availability of Safebox app for Android devices. Bitdefender Safebox is an alternative to Dropbox or Box services, which offer free cloud storage space to those who own and use Android devices.

With Bitdefender’s Safebox users will be able to save, protect and share documents, e-books, videos and sensitive information, in the cloud.

The application is available for both PC and Android platforms. Synching between both platforms is available with only one click.

As soon as users install Bitdefender Safebox, an amount of 2 GB of cloud-based storage will be available for free. Furthermore, the company also offers users who can afford a much better deal.

Those who need more cloud-based storage space can become premium users and get 60GB for an $89.95 yearly fee. For $49.95 per year, premium users will get 30GB of cloud storage space.

Aside from being able to sync all data across PCs and Android phones, Bitdefender Safebox can also be used from my.bitdefender.com as a web interface. According to devs, this features will soon be available via iPad and iPhone apps.

The application also allows users to synchronize multiple folders, and automatically back up files after they have been changed.

Safebox for Android also protects the privacy of users' data files by encrypting them as soon as they are uploaded and stored on the remote servers.

Bitdefender Safebox for Android is now available as a free download via Google Play and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
