14 DAY TRIAL // IT security solutions provider Bitdefender has launched a new version of Small Office Security, a product that’s designed to help small and medium size businesses in protecting the PCs and Macs against cyber threats.
The solution not only enhances security, but also eases its management by eliminating sophisticated onsite architecture. Bitdefender Small Office Security is also efficient from a financial standpoint, because it cuts server costs and frees up valuable staff time.
Companies that prefer hosting security consoles in-house can opt for the on-premise variant of the product.
Bitdefender Small Office Security can be managed from a single easy-to-use console, which gives staff real-time control over all remote users and offices. The solution works even if the company uses both Windows and Mac OS X computers. It also works for desktop and server devices.
The product is powered by Bitdefender’s award-winning technologies (Gold Award for Proactive Malware Protection by AV Comparatives, Best Antivirus of 2014 by PC Mag, Best Protection and Best Performance by AV-TEST).
Bitdefender Small Office Security includes advanced heuristics, web filtering, a search advisor mechanism, and USB scanning.
Companies can also block or restrict their employees from accessing certain websites or applications. On the other hand, employees don’t have to worry about updating, monitoring or troubleshooting security, allowing them to focus more on their work tasks.
While the solution can be managed even by less-skilled users, granular policy settings are also available for advanced administrators.
“Online threats to small and medium businesses have never been so prevalent, or so complex,” noted Bitdefender Chief Security Strategist Catalin Cosoi.
“Bitdefender’s answer is not to pile on the complexity, but rather to cut through the clutter and offer a simple, effective solution that can be deployed with complete efficiency by most anybody in the office,” Cosoi added.
The product is available effective immediately. As far as pricing is concerned, the solution is being offered based on a subscription.
Companies with 5 devices will have to pay $205 (€165) for a 1-year subscription. A 1-year subscription for 30 machines costs $1,100 (€910), while for 50 computers it’s $1,740 (€1,420) per year. A free 30-day trial is also available.
Customers can easily change the size of the deployment in case they add more machines to their network.
