Blockchain.info – the Bitcoin block explorer and online wallet service – has been inaccessible for the last 10 hours or so after being hit by a distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attack.

Shortly after the website went down, Blockchain representatives have reported having some issues with their hosting providers. Later, they’ve clarified that the disruption has been caused by a “large DDOS attack.”

“Due to a large DDOS attack the datacenter has null routed our IP addresses during the night. Servers themselves are fine,” Blockchain wrote on Twitter.

The company says it’s trying to find out how the attackers discovered their real IP addresses.

“Should not be long now until were back. Still investigating how the attacker was able to discover our real non-cloudflare IPs,” they wrote three hours ago.

Currently, the website is still down.
