Berlin-based entertainment services provider Jesta Digital has recently announced the availability of its on-demand mobile TV and movie subscription service, Bitbop for Windows Phone 7.

The service provider is also offering an exclusive beta launch time limited promotion for select WP7 users who will have free trial access for 60 days to commercial-free TV shows and movies.

Bitbop was originally launched on the BlackBerry platform in 2010 and recently for Android devices.

It took Jesta Digital only a few weeks to completely integrate its service into the Windows Phone 7 interface, including the smartphone's Music and Videos hub, which allows users to resume watching a previously accessed television program.

“The elegance and simplicity of Windows Phone 7 is a great match for Bitbop,” said Joe Bilman, executive vice president, Global Products, Jesta Digital and chief architect of Bitbop.

“Both Bitbop and Windows Phone 7 were designed to give consumers the highest quality experience with the greatest simplicity. Bitbop's on demand entertainment service is a perfect match for Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 anytime entertainment center,” added Bilman.

Currently, Bitbop offers unlimited full-length commercial free TV shows for on-demand streaming or temporary download for $9.99 a month. In addition, the company stated that it would start offering full-length movies to its subscribers later this year.

“Bitbop is a great example of the kind of rich applications created by our rich developer ecosystem that people will find on Windows Phone Marketplace,” said Todd Brix, senior director, Windows Phone Marketplace, Microsoft Corp.

“The apps and games found on Windows Phone Marketplace, including Bitbop, have been designed to take advantage of the phone's unique features and design to help people get the most out of their phone,” concluded Brix.

Bitbop beta is now available as a free download for select Windows Phone 7 users from the Windows Phone Marketplace.
