Vuze, the popular BitTorrent client for Mac, Windows, and Linux users has received a new beta update. New features and tweaks are included in this new release.

Vuze 5.3.0.1 Beta 5 should be considered somewhat of a milestone as the P2P client app is finally getting support for BEP 40 - Canonical Peer Priority.

The update further extends the ‘network status’ plugin to include connectivity tests for services that support updates. Customers can visit this change in Tools->Plugins->Network Status.

As usual, Vuze is free and chock full of ads. Those who are downloading the app for the first time are advised to go through the notes in red on our downloads pages. Also, for more reliability, use a Stable build.
