BitRock InstallBuilder 8.0 Available for Download

BitRock InstallBuilder, a tool to build easy-to-use installers for Linux that will run on virtually any distribution, has reached version 8.0.

InstallBuilder generates installers for all target platforms from a single project file. You can create all your installers from a single build environment.

Highlights of BitRock InstallBuilder 8.0:

· A new built-in debugger has been implemented;
· A component system to allow downloading components from a remote server at runtime has been added;
· A new <booleanParameterGroup> to allow enabling/disabling a set of child parameters dynamically is now present;
· New and improved documentation;
· Better quickbuild performance in GUI mode;
· All languages translations has been improved;
· Slide show alignment on qt mode has been fixed;
· Improved GUI to allow hiding advanced settings;
· Linux_distribution_version autodetection on CentOS has been greatly improved;
· Java launchers throwing an unknown error message when the launched application returned with a non-zero exit code has been fixed.
