BitDefender is one of the most popular security solutions on the internet, containing many useful tools like antivirus, anti-spam, anti-spyware, firewall and parental control. Today, the company announced that a new beta, designed especially for the users of the new Windows Vista operating system, is available for download on the official website.

BitDefender 10 Internet Security for Microsoft Vista is a security solution that will contain all the functions mentioned above but the company sustained the beta versions of stand-alone antivirus solutions will be made available shortly while the final version for the Vista-compatible versions of BitDefender Antivirus, BitDefender Antivirus Plus and Bitdefender Internet Security are expected in January 2007, in the same period as Vista's official release date.

"While Windows Vista includes many improved security features, consumers should not dismiss the fact that hackers are already developing ways to infect computer systems through this platform. This Beta test is the last in a series of steps we took to ensure that BitDefender customers wishing to migrate to Vista can do so without any troubles. We are counting on great interest from the BitDefender user community and we are certain that the finished product will indeed meet their most exacting demands," said Carmen Maierean, BitDefender Product Manager.

Windows Vista is the newest member of Windows family, an operating system that was affected by viruses since the release of the RC1 version. It's obvious that all users of the new Microsoft's product will have to use an antivirus solution but remember: the requirements for using both Vista and BitDefender will be very exigent.

The beta version of the product, entitled BitDefender Internet Security 10.3 Beta 1 for Windows Vista, is available as a free download on Softpedia.
