BitDefender Total Security 2009 Beta Launched, Download Included

First beta of BitDefender Total Security 2009 rolled out

SoftWin has just launched

BitDefender Total Security 2009 Beta, the latest attempt of the company supposed to keep users' computers safer than anytime before. The suite contains numerous security tools, starting with anti-virus and anti-spyware and ending with anti-phishing utilities, firewall and anti-spam filters. Moreover, the application is equipped with parent controls, back-up features, tune-up utilities and some other tools which could help you optimize your computer for higher speed.

As a general idea, the new security suite coming from SoftWin is supposed to provide you protection against the majority of threats which could exist on the Internet, including here viruses, spyware, hackers, spam and phishing scams. In addition, it can optimize the settings of your operating system and make your computer work and boot faster.

The 79.1 MB package only works with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows Home Server. It requires .NET Framework 1.1, included in the installer. Moreover, just like BitDefender Total Security 2008, the 2009 edition has several hardware requirements which depend on the operating system you're using.

Windows XP
￭ 800 MHz or higher processor
￭ 256 MB of RAM Memory (512 MB recommended)
￭ 300 MB available hard disk space

Windows Vista / Windows Home Server
￭ 800 MHz or higher processor
￭ 512 MB of RAM Memory (1 GB recommended)
￭ 300 MB available hard disk space
