Recently, we have seen a large number of LGA 1155 boards being pictured and detailed, but, as far as I know, Biostar is the first motherboard manufacturer to announce the availability of an LGA 1155 solution, the Taiwanese company just stating the TP67XE is available in the retail market right now.

If you have been keeping up to date with Sandy Bridge motherboards, then you must surely remember the TP67XE as the board was made official quite some time ago, together with the rest of Biostar's LGA 1155 lineup.

As the TP67XE is the Taiwanese company's flagship Sandy Bridge motherboard, the board is designed with a 10-phase CPU power delivery circuit, this being complemented by an additional phase destined to power the DDR3 memory installed.

In addition, the motherboard also features two 8-pin auxiliary EPS12V connectors to deliver even more energy to the CPU, although I doubt any 32nm Sandy Bridge will require the power such a setup can deliver.

As far as the motherboard layout is concerned everything seems to be placed right where it needs to be, the TP67XE offering enough space between the two PCIe x16 slots in order to fit most dual-GPU configurations as well as ample room around the CPU socket.

The rest of the board offers pretty much what everyone expects from such a solution, two SATA 6Gb/s connectors, two USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet and eight USB 2.0 connectors, all rounding up the specs list.

However, since the TP67XE is targeted towards enthusiasts, on-board power and reset buttons as well as a LED debug display are also present together with a THX TruStudio Pro certified sound chip.

Unfortunately, although Biostar states the TP67XE is available right now for purchase, the press release isn't accompanied by any pricing details.

Furthermore, a quick Google search failed to find any online stores that list the TP67XE.
