Biostar Microtech Int'l Corp. has launched their version of motherboard based on the NVIDIA GeForce 7050PV/ nForce 630a chipset. The model is called TF7050-M2 and has integrated a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) with on-chip High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) and High Definition Audio (HDA).

The chipset has been released by NVIDIA as a response to AMDs 690G
chipset, both featuring powerful integrated graphics chips. Taiwan based manufacturer, Biostar, has a long line of products and has always brought new technologies to consumers, this motherboard being just one example.

The motherboard supports AMD socket AM2 processors, including models such as Athlon 64/X2 and Sempron. It features one PCI Express x16 connector, in case you might want to use a separate video card. The one it already has integrated is an NVIDIA GeForce 7050PV which supports up to 256MB of shared memory, that's correct, that amount of memory is taken from the system, so better do the necessary calculations prior to the purchase.

Its High Definition Audio sound card delivers audio content at 192kHz/32-bit from eight channels, and supports the latest audio formats. The nForce 630a controller supports four Serial ATA 3Gbps connectors with RAID 0, 1, 5, 0+1, 10 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI and TV-Out.

TF7050-M2 delivers a Windows Vista Premium experience through handling the rich Aero user interface and the most demanding workloads with ease. Windows Vista is the first Windows operating system designed to provide a rich, multimedia experience through a visually stunning user interface. And, the TF7050-M2 offers a stable and visually stunning Windows Vista experience, is stated in Biostar's press release. A price for this mobo wasn't released just yet, but I consider it will have appeal to a lot of users, the general price tag for this series of motherboards being around $70-$80.
