Bioshock is a truly terrific game. With innovations and a wide opportunity of choices which affected every aspect of the game, it was a breath of fresh air for the gaming industry. The philosophical
and moral issues asked by this game really tore gamers into camps, each of them militating for the choices which seemed just in their opinion. It made a big impact on the way the story is told to the player, not forcing him to sit through lengthy cut scenes or cinematic sequences, but only relying on his curiosity and the fact that the rich environments just begged to be explored. It was launched last year for the Xbox 360 and the PC, with the version for the PlayStation 3 scheduled for this October.

Recently, 2K Marin, the developer behind this version, has announced that the game had gone gold. This means that the final project has been accomplished and a master disc has been made. It will now go out to the manufacturing plant which will begin the mass production of the game discs. Truly great news for all the PS3 fans who have waited for a very long time to play the game on their favorite console.

Even news that the ending wasn't going to be altered, as a few voices suggested to the developers, didn't sadden gamers. Most of them said that 2K Marin is just assuring that the wonderful gaming experience from the Xbox 360 and PC would be offered to Sony's console.

But this experience is a bit modified according to customer feedback. Several features were added to increase the difficulty of the game, like a harder setting, entitled Survivor, which offers hardcore gamers a run for their money. Also, Challenge Rooms will be present as an opportunity for players to test their skills against opponents in the game. For those eager for a taste, a demo of Bioshock will be available starting this Thursday on the PlayStation Network for North America.
