Zak McClendon, the lead designer who worked on BioShock 2, is moving to developer Harmonix, stocking rumors that the company might be ready to announce a big project that’s not linked in any way to the music genre.

Superannuation has caught the move and has posted information about it on Twitter, but it’s unclear whether Zak McClendon will be leading a new game development project or is joining an already existing team.

At the same time, Harmonix is also letting a number of developers go.

A statement says that, “We can confirm that a small number of Harmonix employees were let go today. This decision was made due to shifting staffing priorities for Harmonix’s multiple future projects.”

One of the projects that Harmonix is working on is called Chroma, although the company has not offered any information on it.
