The organizers of the 13th edition of the Annual Game Developers Choice Awards announce that during the ceremony that will take place on March 27 they will hand a Lifetime Achievement Award on Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk, co-founders of BioWare and creators of numerous award winning video games.

The list of hits they have developed includes: Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Jade Empire, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, Dragon Age and the MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic.

BioWare under their leadership was best known for its focus on world building and empowering the player via choice.

Meggan Scavio, the general manager of all GDC events, states, “There’s no denying the deep footprint Ray and Greg have made, and how much their dedication and leadership will be missed in our industry. We’re proud to honor them with the Lifetime Achievement Award as they parlay into their next careers.”
