Mass Effect 3, the space-based action and role-playing mix from developer BioWare, has just received the Extended Cut downloadable content, but it seems that the team working on the game has more planned, although they are not ready to offer clear details.

Mike Gamble, who is one of the producers working on the Mass Effect franchise, has sent a message on Twitter asking, “Would now be a good time to talk about how we’re doing more DLC in the future?”

He then went on to explain, “That was a trick question. We’ll save the future DLC for future chats. Don’t worry though. There’s much more.”

It’s not clear what kind of DLC Gamble is referring to and BioWare seems to be, at the moment, more interested in delivering updates for the multiplayer side of Mass Effect 3 since it was launched.

Recently, gamers got to play with the Vorcha race and got a number of new classes to take to level 20 and more maps to play on.

Such content will presumably continue to be delivered by the team in order to keep the multiplayer mode engaging, alongside the various Operations, and allow players to spend money in order to get the various equipment packs offered in the official store.

The only single-player content that has been offered so far is From Ashes, which was linked to the Special Edition of Mass Effect 3, introducing a new character that can add a lot to the game, but is not required for those who want to experience it.

The Extended Cut DLC was only announced after a number of players sharply criticized the ending of Mass Effect 3 and it is designed to give gamers more closure and also offer them a new option which makes Commander Shepard reshape his own final moments.
