Mysterious blog entries point to extensive new content

The official BioWare blog has unveiled a strange new message which seems to be the first of a longer advertising push for the upcoming Leviathan downloadable content for Mass Effect 3.

A message from the Alliance News Network reads, “Top of the line security, huh? Hmph. I don’t think so! I’ve successfully hacked into the Alliance News Network’s terminal, but this isn’t a safe connection and I can’t stay long.”

“I don’t want to reveal my location on the Citadel and give C-Sec the advantage. I must be heard! Go read about everything that Hackett is trying to cover up! I am Bernard Plim and I speak the truth,” the posts continues.

From the blog post gamers can then go to the Conspiracy Accountability League, which seems to be an organization dedicated to tracking Task Force Aurora, a top secret division inside the Alliance that is designed to investigate and deal with Reaper incidents.

The Conspiracy Accountability League statement seems to be bordering on paranoia, with the message saying that, “I have tried to contact Admiral Hackett myself, but he won’t return my calls. WHY NOT?! Is it because he’s HIDING SOMETHING? I’m sure that he feels safe on his space station home as we all sit by and watch our friends and families get juiced by the Reapers, but I DON’T and NEITHER SHOULD YOU—we need to DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY.”

Leviathan is the latest piece of DLC for the single-player portion of Mass Effect 3.

The development team at BioWare has revealed that the story will be linked to the Reapers and to their origins and will give interested players more background on the game universe they are inhabiting.

The new content can be downloaded on the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PC and should be available later today.
