BioWare's Dragon Age Looking Good

Games for Windows: The Official Magazine launched with a bang as they previewed some exclusive information about the upcoming RPG game from BioWare, Dragon Age. This gaming magazine was formerly known as Computer Gaming World but it
suffered a change in format.

Let's recap some of the information presented by the magazine via 1up.com. The story of the game will be much darker than the BioWare standard and it will be inspired from modern fantasy including George R.R. Martin's book "A Game of Thrones".

Dragon Age will use an altered version of the Mass Effect conversation system, and some interesting features have been implemented into the games' characters, as they will be able to duck between legs and to jump on monsters' backs.

BioWare's game will use a next generation combat system, similar to the one used in Baldur's Gate. Dragon Age will have some extra features implemented, for example, you will be able to pause the game whenever you want. This RPG's original story will be different for every individual player, depending on what character archetype they choose.

Presumably, the game will incorporate both multiplayer and single-player modes and BioWare has developed a new engine to power it. Bioware is best known for Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate and Knights of the Old Republic but surely Dragon Age won't be a disappointment. We will be able to play the game in late 2007 or early 2008.
