Almost two weeks ago, the creators of BioShock tweeted a picture with a cryptic message: "Come bite the Apple!" Everyone thought at that moment that their greatest creation would be ported to iOS.

Well, guess what? Not only is there an iOS port in the works, but we have a functional demo. The guys over at TouchArcade have tested and recorded a long video of the first gameplay.

Jared Nelson of TouchArcade has got his hands dirty with the iPad version of BioShock. In his review, he recalls that the first mobile version of BioShock was announced back in 2008, but the game never came out, for no apparent reason.

The mentioned source explains how the future version of BioShock is not related to the old one at all. This is a brand new, separate project and it is the full BioShock experience that players enjoyed some time ago, when they were playing this on a PC or console. This may be a good thing for players who are missing those days from 7 years ago.

The video gameplay is almost 30 minutes long and the game was played by Casey Coleman from 2K. The first half of the demo is played using virtual controls and the second half with a MFI Controller.
