You'd better start collecting Microsoft points right now

Since BioShock is the latest hit in the gaming industry, releasing extra content to increase the fun of playing it seems a logical move. That's just a rumor right now and it surfaced as some gamers toyed with the title's engine finding details about s future downloadable pack. Right now there's no option allowing you to download extra content in BioShock's menu, but I'm sure we'll see some goodies coming from the Xbox Live.

The latest rumors have mentioned some extra Plasmid packs, including four brand new powers: Machine Buster, Vending Expert, Sonic Boom and Ever Saver. Will the downloadable content be free or will it cost hundreds of Microsoft points? The extra packs worked wonders with Gears of War and Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, increasing the two titles' lifespans.

BioShock is still a "fresh" launch, enjoying its glorious status and leading the sales charts, being only surpassed by Metroid Prime 3. However a simple Plasmid pack won't be enough for the fans of the game, since they'll probably crave for entire levels, new monsters or cool new multiplayer map packs. I guess that 2K was hoping to surprise us with the downloadable content, but those pesky gamers spoiled the fun by messing with the title's code.

There are a bunch of die-hard BioShock fans who have already finished the game and they're ready for a new challenge. So, the producers will have to leave the fans wanting more, informing them about the new content. 2K hopes to keep the hardcore gamers close by, as this month we'll see tons of games being officially launched and I bet that BioShock will be forgotten in a week or two. Will the Xbox 360 players get the downloadable content first or will the lucky PC gamers have the opportunity of toying with the new Plasmids? We'll soon find out...
