The release of The Hangover Part II is still a week away, but fans of the show can watch the movie’s red carpet event on Facebook, courtesy of Bing.
Microsoft has certainly upped the ante this week in terms of the integration of social networking data and functionality into its search / decision engine.
But The Hangover Part II initiative seems unrelated. The software giant will only stream the event movie’s launch on its Facebook dedicated page.
“We are pleased to be a part of the sequel to the most popular “friend” comedy of all-time: The Hangover Part II. Bing will be covering the premiere live on the red carpet from Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood and you’re invited to come along. The event will be streamed live to our Facebook page starting at 6:30 p.m. PT [tonight],” the Redmond company
revealed.
Bradley Cooper joins Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis in a new adventure that fans of the original hangover movie can guess where it will go.
This time around the trio is in Thailand for the marriage of Stu, played by Ed Helms, and what starts as a modest bachelor brunch turns terribly wrong for the main characters. Now where have I heard of such a plot before? I really can’t put my finger on it.
“As the film’s stars - including Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Mike Tyson - walk the red carpet, Ross Mathews will be getting the scoop from the “wolfpack”,” the Redmond company said.
“We invite you to submit questions to our Facebook page or to @Bing on Twitter using the hashtag #BingandWolfpack in advance of the live stream.”
While the public will have to wait until the 26th of May to go see The Hangover Part II, the red carpet event is another thing altogether. Remember it streams live tonight at 6:30 p.m. PT.
