Brand new features are now available for Bing Maps users, making it easier to navigate and find businesses, buildings or venue information.

The new enhancements are meant to provide users with the possibility to do things faster than before, and will, at first, become available only in select markets around the world.

With Bing Maps, users will benefit from access to almost 900 venue maps, which include interiors maps of malls, airports, casinos and shopping districts.

Following the new update, users will be able to find these much easier than before. They can be accessed through simply zooming-in into favorite shopping malls or airports, and clicking on the footprint.

Initially, only users in the United States, United Kingdom, France and Germany will benefit from the features.

Finding local businesses in a new town is also very simple. “Zoom-in into Bing Maps and find some of the most popular businesses in the area, including hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions, shopping centers, art galleries, ATMs, and much more,” Microsoft notes.

“Even if you are a local, we think you’ll find this feature useful to find grocery stores, libraries, post offices, schools, and even parking garages. Simply click on a business name or icon and find out more details about it.”

This feature will be rolled out to users in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, and Germany in the beginning.

Additionally, users in the United States and select cities in the United Kingdom, Canada and France will benefit from semi-transparent 3D building outlines for metropolitan areas when zooming out.

This enhancement is meant to offer a better context of how the city looks like, while also providing users with the possibility to view where key buildings and city landmarks are.

Also in the new Bing Maps update, users will enjoy faster zooming than before, regardless of whether it comes to states, cities, parks, neighborhoods and more. All that users need to do is to click on a label to get to the best map view of that area.

This feature was made available for users in all markets where Bing Maps is already available, except Japan.
