Bing makes it easier than ever for users to find great sites from around the web, highlighting a very select collection of online properties.

Bing Editors’ Picks went live this week, a new feature introduced to Microsoft’s search / decision engine to provide customers with access to hand-selected sites, offering high-quality content.

For the time being, Bing Editors’ Picks is only available to customers in the United States, revealed Kristen Kennedy, managing editor, Bing Editorial Team. The software giant did not specify when or if this new feature could expand to Bing flavors tailored to other markets beyond the U.S.

“Editors’ Picks were designed to enhance Bing results by bringing editorially selected sites to your search experience. Our goal, whether delivered by algorithm or by editors, is to help you find what you’re looking for faster and to get stuff done,” Kennedy said.

“Editors’ Picks are small collections of relevant sites that our online editorial experts think will be useful to you, but may not always make it to the top of the search results page.”

At the time of this article, Bing Editors’ Picks was already covering in excess of 140 topics. Users can visit Bing.com/editorspicks in order to explore all of the picks that Bing has to offer them.

It’s quite simple to select a specific category, and then narrow down the results through a filtering mechanism offered by the Redmond company.

“Simply start a search as you normally would anywhere on Bing. If Editors’ Picks are available for your search terms, you may see an Editors’ Picks tab appear in the top rail or an instant answer in the search results. Clicking on the tab or answer will bring you to a page that includes all the sites we’ve selected for that topic,” Kennedy added.

A great option of Bing Editors’ Picks is the fact that Microsoft made it possible for users to submit the websites they’d want to see featured among the picks already available.
