Microsoft will debut the Bing Cashback Twitter Sweepstakes today, offering no less than seven prizes worth over $500 each to users who will leverage Bing Shopping and Bing Cashback in order to search for product offerings available online. The Redmond company informed that, in order to have a chance at winning, users would need to follow the @bingcashback channel on Twitter. @bingcashback already has over 3,100 followers, but this number is bound to grow as more customers will attempt to win the prizes offered by Microsoft.

“Knowing you’d probably rather not spend your waning summer days digging for deals inside the mall, we’re giving away not one, but SEVEN $500 Visa cash cards, each in cool Bing backpacks to help you get your back-to-school shopping done with just a bit less stress. The lucky winners can use their cash card to take care of all their back-to-school shopping – and what better place to find great deals than on Bing Shopping and Bing cashback,” stated Anne Taylor Hartzell, Bing evangelist.

Unfortunately the Bing Cashback Twitter Sweepstakes are opened only to US residents, but qualifying users will be able to get a shot at the prizes throughout the 7-day contest, which is scheduled to start today. Microsoft informed that the initiative would last until July 31, and that it would run each day. The Redmond company plans to tweet a new Bing cashback-trivia question on a daily basis, and allow users to reply. Right answers delivered within the first hour since the trivia question gets posted will make respondents eligible to win.

“The answers to each of our trivia questions will be discoverable by using Bing, specifically Bing Shopping and Bing cashback. Each tweet will be marked with #cashbackpack so you can easily search and find our tweets and other back-to-school budget-minded shoppers, a.k.a. your competitors in this contest. To enter, reply to @bingcashback with your answer and tag your tweet with #cashbackpack,” Hartzell added. “Whether or not you participate or win, you can still take advantage of the savings from Bing cashback as you gear up for back-to-school.”
