Is Bing out-searching Google on the iPad? Well, the answer to that should come quite easy to iPad owners, as all they have to do is download the new free Bing application available through the Apple App store. Customers will of course have to decide for themselves, but the response is bound to be a positive one, since the user experience of Bing for iPad is everything from unique to fun, intuitive, and immersive.

Largely responsible for the Bing for iPad UX are the NUI (natural user interface) optimizations offered by the app. The entire interaction model of the search / decision engine’s app is optimized for touch and voice.

“Bing for iPad goes beyond the traditional search experience, offering a unique and visually rich way to search the Web,” reveals Zachary Gutt, Lead Program Manager, Bing.

“The app is designed from the ground up for touch. You can quickly browse news, movies, Bing homepage images, local business listings and much more – all with the swipe of your finger.”

At the same time, touch is only one aspect of Bing for iPad’s NUI capabilities. In fact, what’s more natural than using fingers to search than voice commands?

“With Bing’s Voice Search, just say what you’re searching for and Bing will find it. Bing’s autosuggest feature helps you refine your search by providing suggestions based on your recent searches and related searches done by other people,” Gutt added.

“And when searching for a popular topic, Bing provides the most relevant answer up top, complete with quick links to help you complete your task faster.”

Users will find a video embedded below which will provide them with details on the new Bing for iPad app. Of course, the actual application is available as a free download, as I’ve already said, and iPad owners should not hesitate to at least give it a try.

While the user experience will undoubtedly win customers over, let’s not forget that this is a search application.

And the search features are also a big part of why iPad owners should opt to use Bing and not Google.

First off, the app comes with a collection of aggregated content that enables customers to explore Bing trends, watch movie trailers check out maps, news, weather, etc.

It’s critical to note that the Bing search experience is also improving constantly and that users will find it’s more than a valid alternative to Google.
