Ellen Degeneres has great 12 day giveaways. But sad that we in Toronto, Canada cannot participate even though her shows are shown on Canadian Television. I feel I have missed out on the wonderful give aways of today, epecially the $100 Shell gas card, the rimless sun glasses, the Samsonite travel case and the note book. All of which are such useful gifts which I could really use, as I have lost my job and have been home since Feb'09. Its difficult to travel as I am just making ends meet.. So even though I watch Ellen's show everyday I feel that we her fans in Canada loose out on these 12 day giveaway. If I could be present on any of these 12 days I would love to be present on one of her shows but dont know if I will get tickets before the 12 days giveaway get over!!

I agree with Yvette, we get the show in Canada and watch faithfully everyday. Not being able to travel cuz of money problems, and not having crediit cards, makes it hard to get to be there. I think Canadians should also be able to win on the 12 days of Christmas giveaways. Maybe not the gift cards but the other gadets, and electronics should be availiable for us to win. That is like the O magazine, I would have loved to be able to purchase it. I recently lost my stepdad and my little puppy Rascal 2 devesating deaths to me. Lost my home which my mother and I lived in together. Now she is with my brother and I miss being with her. They say she is not well and I can't imagaine life without her. We have come from being poor all of our lives. Would have loved to give her a christmas to remember as we never know if it is her last. Just wanted to add this comment to you in hopes that maybe someday soon we will get to partake in your joy of giving and recieving, not to sound greedy. We do love you here in Canada and think your have a wonderful show, thanks for that. Love to all of you at this time of year. Tell Porsha to have a wonderful funfilled christmas as I know you will make it that way. xo

As a mom of a gay guy, and he, who has a spouse and 3 beautiful adopted children, it is nice to see a gay person on TV in such a positive way.

I can not watch your giveaways, without tears. You, your staff and sponsors do wonderful work for people in need. There are so many people needing help in our country at this time. I know it must be hard for you to pick which one will get the gifts.

I would like you to call my girlfrind .Her name is Joyce she works very hard at work and she does not buy much for herself she live in a one room apparmtent . Ellen My mother in law is 85 and has never had tv except for education. In the last few months receided dish tv for a gift from their son. Mom looks for to everyday at 3:00 for your show to come on. She tells me she is so funny. I get a kick out of her while she is watching you. Thanks

I have never been into talk shows before, but since my heart attack, I have been in front of the TV every time The Ellen show comes on. I think that what you do for people is great! Keep up the good work. May I ask a favor? with your vast audience, would you have them say a small prayer for me and my family. I have CHF and October was heart attack # 5.

I am writing to your show on behalf of my brother and sister in law. I know you help families sometimes who are having a hardship. My brother and his wife are both out of work (like alot of people), but my sister in law has been diagnosed with acute renal failure due to medication the doctor prescribed. She was in the hospital for about a month during Christmas '09 and now has to have dialysis 3 times a week. The doctor was hoping the kidneys would resume normal voiding,but that has not happened. She is now on a kidney list. So of course she cannot work. My brother was laid off of his job the week she went into the hospital. He can not really look for work because he has to take her to dialysis. He draws unemployment but it barely pays the food bill and gas to drive her to the doctor. My brother has had seizure since he was about 2 years old and is on medication for that (he is 40 now). They bought my Mother's home after she passed away so there is a mortgage and lots and lots of medical bills. Cobra insurance is very expensive but he has to have insurance.
