Sega has confirmed two release dates for its upcoming PC version of Binary Domain, saying that owners of the platform can enjoy it through digital services on April 27 and through retail stores on May 18.

Binary Domain appeared earlier this year for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, offering a different take on the already stale third-person shooter genre by allowing the interactions of players with AI-controlled squad mates to have meaningful repercussions.

While the game didn’t get the best reception on consoles, Sega confirmed that the shooter would also make its way onto the PC, through both digital and retail distribution services.

Now, the Japanese company has confirmed when those interested in the title can get to play it on the PC.

Binary Domain will be available from various digital distribution platforms, including Steam, on April 27, while those who want retail copies from actual stores will be able to pick the game up on May 18.

What’s more, if you pre-order the game before these two release dates, you’ll be able to score a variety of pre-order bonuses, in the form of equipment packs for both the single-player and the multiplayer modes of the actual game, one focusing on the protagonist, while the other adds a special character class.

- The 'Dan Marshall Pack' focuses on Binary Domain's playable protagonist of the same name, and features additional bionic upgrades and weaponry.

- The 'Multiplayer Pack' adds the 'Ninja' playable class, a unique character type with a focus on surprise attacks and adaptive combat. The new 'Outside High-rise, Upper City' map and additional weapon types round out Binary Domain's already-comprehensive multiplayer experience. Expect to hear some more about Binary Domain’s PC version ahead of its two separate releases, this month and in May.
