News that their marriage was not exactly rock-steady has been bouncing back and forth on the Internet for quite a while.
However, it was only recently that the couple issued a statement confirming the rumor that they had decided to go their separate ways.
The two went public with the news about their divorce this past Thursday, Sky News reports.
“This is a personal matter and we are doing what is in the best interest of our family. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time,” the two reportedly said in their statement.
Word has it that Tish Finley Cyrus was the one to file for divorce in Los Angeles. She hopes to get custody of Noah, the couple's 13-year-old daughter, and spousal support.
