The story of the movie, directed by Michael Polish, revolves around an eccentric farmer who dreams of space travel and sets out to build a rocket inside his barn. His neighbors consider him an oddity, the government thinks he is a threat, and the media sees him as a story.
According to the Associated Press, Warner Bros. will shoot the feature film this fall in central and northern New Mexico, creating 100 new jobs.
The film will be the third Warner Brothers movie made in New Mexico since the state's filming incentives were introduced in 2003.
