14 DAY TRIAL // Before Angelina Jolie became half of the famous couple she makes up today with Brad Pitt, she was married to American actor Billy Bob Thornton. The two were husband and wife for three years, between 2000 and 2003, and they had a reputation of being very weird about expressing their feelings towards each other.
We can all still remember the fact that they used to carry vials of each other's blood round their necks on chains, for example. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Billy talks about his entire marriage with the beautiful Angelina and calls it a “pretty crazy” time.

“I mean it was a crazy time. I've never been fond of it. [The] vial of blood is very simple. You know those lockets you buy that are clear and you put a picture of your grannie in and wear it around your neck? She bought two of those,” Thornton explains.
“We were apart a lot because she's off making Tomb Raider and I'm making Monster’s Ball. She thought it would be interesting and romantic if we took a little razorblade and sliced our fingers, smeared a little blood on these lockets and you wear it around your neck just like you wear your son or daughter’s baby hair in one. Same thing. From that, we were wearing quart jars of blood around our necks. And we were vampires and we lived in a dungeon,” the actor reveals.
He would also like you to know that he didn't actually live in a dungeon with Angelina and they didn't consider themselves vampires. He just told a reporter once that he had a basement where he spent all day recording, but the reporter twisted it and made it seem like they lived all day in a dungeon “You know, because it makes a better story.”
Still, the actor says he and Angelina never “hated on each other”
Though the two later divorced and each went their separate ways, Thornton claims that there was never any bad blood between the two of them. “We had a great marriage and I chickened out because I didn't feel good enough. That's all that happened. It was no big deal, we never hated each other.”
Of course, Angelina would eventually get over her wild phase and settle down to become the dotting mother she is today, to a brood of children that included her own children, as well as others adopted from poverty-stricken countries.
She has just gotten married to Brad Pitt in a secret ceremony in France, after a lengthy engagement and now she's focusing her creative efforts on directing movies and on charitable work which has even landed her a Dameship from the Queen of England.
This is a long way to come from the girl who used to play with knives and thought of herself as a vampire.
