Billings 3.0.4 Available for Download, Daylite 3.9 Confirmed

Marketcircle has announced the availability of a new update to Billings, the company's Mac OS X app that allows users to easily generate and send estimates, statements and invoices for billable time, expenses and mileage. The update is especially intended for those who also use the company's business productivity manager, Daylite.

“We have an update to Billings for you,” says Alykhan Jetha, CEO Marketcircle, on the company's blog. “It’s an important release for those of you that use it with Daylite,” AJ points out. “Billings 3.0.4 will handle the existing Daylite as well as the upcoming Daylite 3.9,” AJ writes, confirming that Daylite users are about to receive their “fix” as well.

“We also added Japanese and Dutch UI and template translations,” AJ outlines. “Stefaan Lesage helped us with Dutch translation. If you are Dutch, you may recognize him from the great Billings tutorials he does on the iTutor Podcase website.”

According to AJ, an additional change is that the timer now has a resolution of 1 second instead of 1 minute. Marketcircle's head explains that, since most people bill in six-minute increments, the developers figured a one-minute resolution was fine. However, AJ asserts, “it seems that some people want greater control.” As such, besides adding a one-second resolution, Billings 3.0.4 also adds the ability to edit the start and end times for each log entry. A few other fixes have been incorporated in this release, AJ indicates.

For those who are new to Marketcircle's solutions, Billings is a Mac app focused on sending professional invoices. Released on the market on September 18, 2008, the app features a clean UI and 30 professionally designed templates, complementing its "five minutes to your first professional invoice" promise.
