The clock is ticking for one of the biggest musical events of the year, the one that will judge all artists on a very realistic basis, meaning, the number of records they sold, strictly determined by the weekly Billboard charts.
The Billboard Music Awards will take place on December 4th in Las Vegas, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Until now, no finalists have been named, the list being scheduled to be made public on November 27th, but the organizers did reveal the names of the singers who will perform live on the occasion.
The last time an official statement was made, it announced that Janet Jackson, Fergie and The Killers would perform their latest singles. Now, the organizers said that others, too, have been added to the list, among which Mary J. Blige, Gwen Stefani, Ludacris and The Fray are only a few.
Special appearances will include Bowling For Soup, Carrie Underwood, Carmen Electra, Dave Navarro, Flavor Flav, Vanessa Minnillo and the cast of 'High School Musical', who will all present awards in some categories. With all the details, there still remains one to be decided: the host of the event that will be aired by Fox.
At the moment, no name has been attached to do the honors, but we'll keep you posted in due time.
