Sen. Audrey Gibson is trying to have the ammo buying process take longer

Florida state Senator Audrey Gibson has proposed new gun-control legislation, in the form of a bill that requires gun owners to undergo anger management courses before buying ammunition.

According to The Blaze, the article of legislation filed on Saturday allows owners to buy bullets even without the classes, but they have to wait three days.

“It’s a step, I think, in a safer direction. It’s about getting people to think before they buy,” Gibson explains.

However, one only has to take the classes every ten years, according to the lawmaker's proposal, and that is a long time for someone to start getting angry.

“They’re trying to say that anyone who owns a gun or shoots a gun or has ammunition for it needs counseling and obviously has some anger problems,” counters gun rights group Florida Carry exec Sean Caranna. He also dubs the bill insulting to those who choose to carry weapons.
